Sprite Leveling: How Levels 1–5 Work

Sprites level from 1 to 5 as you play with them equipped — from opening chests, getting eliminations and extracting duplicates. Each level strengthens the ability: the Water Sprite's Shield regen climbs from 2 to 6 per tick, and the King Sprite's bonus pickaxe damage goes from +30 to +120.
Leveling is what turns a modest passive into a real advantage. A Level 1 Sprite is a taste; a Level 5 Sprite is the full effect.
How Sprites gain levels
- Opening containers while the Sprite is equipped — chests, ammo boxes, food boxes and fishing barrels all count (+75 Sprite XP for a standard container)
- Getting eliminations and reviving teammates
- Extracting duplicates of that Sprite
Two rules worth internalizing: only the Sprite on your back gains XP (inventory Sprites are just cargo), and level progress earned in a match is lost if you die before extracting — so bank the Sprite every time it levels up.
How much levels matter
The gap between Level 1 and Level 5 is large. Examples: Water Shield regen 2→6 per tick; King pickaxe damage +30→+120; Boss max HP/Shield +5→+25; Fishy swim speed +25%→+200%. Reaching Level 5 and extracting also masters the Sprite, which is how you unlock Quack variants.
