Sprite rarity breakdown
The 24 released Sprites split across four rarity tiers. Ironmouse (Mythic) is datamined but not yet live, so it is not counted below.
How Sprite variants work
Each Sprite comes in variants, and every variant is a separate collectible entry with its own effect and drop rate. These are the confirmed effects — several other sites overstate the Gummy and Galaxy numbers.
| Variant | Effect |
|---|---|
| Base | The original Sprite — its listed ability with no bonus. |
| Gold | 3× bonus XP from eliminations. |
| Gummy | +10% Sprite Dust when you extract. |
| Galaxy | +20% ammo when you pick ammo up. |
| Holofoil | 5% chance for your squad to find rare Sprite Variants from looted chests. |
| Cube | Grants the Overdrive effect while you are in the Storm. |
| Quack | Shares 50% of the XP it earns with every other Sprite you own. Unlocked through Sprite Mastery. |
| Gem | Effect not yet confirmed by a reputable source — most Gem variants are datamined but unreleased. |
Best Sprites to prioritise
If you can't chase everything at once, these five give the biggest all-round advantage:
1. Demon SpriteEpicLife-steal on every elimination (up to +30 HP/Shield) makes it the strongest aggressive-play Sprite.
2. Boss SpriteLegendaryA flat +25 max HP and Shield at Level 5 — pure survivability that helps in every match.
3. Dream SpriteLegendaryA free random item every level, exploding into Legendary loot at max — huge tempo swings.
4. Water SpriteRareFree, easy to farm, and endless Shield regen near water — the best early-game pickup.
5. Zero Point SpriteMythicA Shield Bubble Jr. on every self-heal is a game-changer, and its variants are the rarest flex in Fortnite.
The rarest Sprites to chase

- Cube Zero Point — 0.000014% per chest
- Galaxy Zero Point — 0.000056% per chest
- Gummy Zero Point — 0.000085% per chest
- Gold Zero Point — 0.00014% per chest

FAQ
How many Sprites are in Fortnite?+
There are 24 released Sprite families and 109 total collectible entries (families plus their released variants) as of patch v41.30. A 25th Sprite, Ironmouse, is datamined but not yet released.
What is the rarest Fortnite Sprite?+
The Zero Point variants are by far the rarest. Cube Zero Point drops at just 0.000014% — the lowest chance of any collectible in the game — so most players unlock the Quack Zero Point through Sprite Mastery instead.
What are all the Sprite variants?+
There are eight variant types: Base, Gold (3× elimination XP), Gummy (+10% Sprite Dust), Galaxy (+20% ammo), Holofoil (squad rare-find bonus), Cube (Overdrive in the Storm), Quack (shares 50% XP, mastery reward), and Gem (datamined, mostly unreleased).
Which Sprite should I get first?+
For most players the Demon Sprite (life-steal) and Boss Sprite (+max HP/Shield) give the biggest all-round boost, while the free Water Sprite is the easiest early pickup.
Do Sprites have no variants?+
Five Mythics are Base-only with no variants: John Wick, Burnt Peanut, Vini Jr., Pollo, and (when released) Ironmouse.
