How to Get Sprites in Fortnite

You get Fortnite Sprites by opening Sprite Chests (a guaranteed source), regular and Relic Chests, and supply drops, or by finding the five Rare Sprites (Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Fishy) roaming the map. You can also summon any Sprite you have collected before using Sprite Dust.

How to Extract Sprites (Keep Them Permanently)

Catching a Sprite only gives you its buff for that match. To keep a Sprite permanently you must extract it — either at an Extraction Site terminal or with a Portable Extractor, which channels for about 5 seconds. If you are eliminated before extracting, the Sprite is lost and does not count toward your collection.

Reaching mastery milestones across many Sprites unlocks the special Quack variants for Water, Earth, Fire and Zero Point.

Sprite trading happens in the community — Discord servers, Reddit and friend groups — where players swap the variants they have for the ones they need. The fastest way to line up a trade is to build a clear 'Looking for / Offering' list from your collection and post it, rather than negotiating one card at a time.
