GETTING STARTED

How to Get Sprites in Fortnite

You get Fortnite Sprites by opening Sprite Chests (a guaranteed source), regular and Relic Chests, and supply drops, or by finding the five Rare Sprites (Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Fishy) roaming the map. You can also summon any Sprite you have collected before using Sprite Dust.

The four ways to find a Sprite

Sprites appear from several sources, and knowing which source gives which Sprite saves a lot of wasted drops:

  • Sprite Chests — the main, guaranteed source. Every Sprite Chest contains a Sprite, so these are your best odds for the chest-pool families.
  • Relic Chests — where the rarest chest-pool Mythics live, including Burnt Peanut, Vini Jr., Lootin' Llama and (when it releases) Ironmouse.
  • Regular chests & supply drops — a lower-chance secondary source.
  • World spawns — the five Rare Sprites (Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Fishy) are not chest drops. They roam specific biomes: Water near rivers/beaches, Earth in forests, Fire in urban areas, Air and Fishy in high/mountainous areas.

Summoning with Sprite Dust

Once you have collected a Sprite, you can summon it again with Sprite Dust instead of hunting for it. Cost scales with rarity: Rare Sprites cost as little as 100 Dust, Epics 2,700, Legendaries 4,500, and Mythics 6,750.

Sprite Dust is earned by extracting Sprites (especially duplicates), so a full hunt loop feeds itself: extract duplicates, bank Dust, summon the exact variant you still need.

Reading drop rates before you grind

Every variant has its own drop chance. Base Epics like Duck and Demon sit around 6.5% per Sprite Chest, while Legendaries are ~4.5% and most Mythic base cards are ~2%. Rarer variants (Gold, Gummy, Galaxy, Holofoil, Cube) drop far less often.

The absolute rarest entries in the game are the Zero Point variants — Cube Zero Point is 0.000014%, so it is realistically a summon-with-Dust target, not a chest grind. Check the full drop-rate table before committing to a chase.

FAQ

What is the best way to get Sprites fast?+

Prioritise Sprite Chests (guaranteed Sprites) and Relic Chests for Mythics, then top up missing variants by summoning with Sprite Dust earned from extracting duplicates.

Why can't I find the Water Sprite in chests?+

The five Rare Sprites (Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Fishy) are world spawns, not chest drops. Water roams near rivers and beaches.
